For the first time since 1987 the West Virginia Legislature has voted to override a governor’s veto. It happened Friday morning when the state Senate voted in favor of the pro-life supported Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.

The Senate vote, 27-5, completed action on the bill. It will become law in 90 days. The House of Delegates voted to override the veto earlier this week.
